Storage Instructions
How to store our products
Our Red and our Green Enchilada Sauces are made with a whole ‘lada love! And all that love and delicious, saucy goodness is best stored—sealed in its packaging or a separate air-tight container—in the refrigerator for up to 7 days after opening.
If you're saving our Grain Free Tortillas for the long winter, or just past the first week of purchase, they should be stored frozen. Please use by the frozen best by date on the back of the package.
We recommend thawing them in the refrigerator, and used within 7 days of opening, unless you choose to refreeze, which is perfectly fine. If using a microwave to thaw, remove the tortillas from their package and set timer for approximately 25-30 seconds.
When refreezing we’ve found using parchment paper or a similar separator is helpful in keeping the tortillas from sticking together. We would not recommend freezing tortilla chips.
Our Grain Free Churro Strips, Tortilla Chips, and Kettle Cooked Potato Chips are best stored in the bag! Simply grab your favorite chip clip, fold your opened bag down, and then clip it shut. Enjoy until their ‘Best By’ date.
Our Botana Sauces last 1-year after opening, and they are best stored in the refrigerator. Storing our Botana Sauces in your refrigerator helps maintain the delicious flavor and texture of each sauce, this way you and your loved ones can continue enjoying ‘em until empty! (P.S. If separation occurs, it’s entirely normal. Just give your bottle a good shake!)
Our Grain Free Mexican Cookies are best stored in the bag (but we love a good—air-tight & sealed—cookie jar, too)! Enjoy until their ‘Best By’ date.
Our Grain Free Taco Shells will be perfectly safe in your pantry until ready to use for your taco nights for up to 5 months. Once you open a box, please keep them in an air-tight container.
We wouldn’t recommend freezing our shells, as the quality and texture may change once frozen. Freezing may also cause an increase in breakage
Buen Provecho!
