Our family believes in having something for everyone at the table, and we also believe you can’t go wrong with tacos! Our Jackfruit Carnitas Tacos featuring our NEW Jalapeño Botana Sauce are just the thing for your next dinner party, meal-prepped lunch, or your meat-less Monday meals (try saying that 7 times fast!). There’s just something about a delicious filling wrapped in a warm tortilla that makes sense to us, no matter the occasion.

  1. Step 1

    Stir the jalapeño sauce and sour cream into the cabbage. Season with salt and pepper, chill until ready to serve
  2. Step 2

    Drain the cans of jackfruit and cut the tough core off of each piece of jackfruit, disposing of the core
  3. Step 3

    Place the cleaned pieces of jackfruit in a bowl, and toss with the Carnitas seasoning until evenly covered. Massage and pull apart the pieces of jackfruit until shredded
  4. Step 4

    Heat avocado oil in a cast iron skillet and cook jackfruit over medium heat for for 15-20 minutes, allowing the jackfruit to crisp around the edges. Stir frequently to prevent burning
  5. Step 5

    Gently heat each Cassava tortilla until pliable
  6. Step 6

    To build the carnitas tacos, place about 1/4 cup of jackfruit in each tortilla, top with the jalapeno cabbage slaw, and a small pinch of cilantro leaves
